Travel League

The Northwood Soccer Club has a travel soccer program for players interested in playing in a more competitive environment than our recreational program.   If you are between the age of 8 and 14, and are interested in playing soccer at a more competitive level, the Pumas invite you to check out the information below.  Our travel teams compete in the Indiana Soccer League.

What is ISL?

The Indiana Soccer League (ISL) is a travel soccer league composed of teams throughout the State of Indiana.  Teams from age level U9 through U14 compete in a fall season.   The fall season games are played from September through October.  Teams from age level U9 through U18 compete in a spring season.  Spring games are played from April through May.  Each season consists of at least six (6) games.

How are the teams selected?

Tryouts for the travel teams occur in June.  Tryouts are open to all players in their respective age division.  Coaches evaluate players based on skill level and invite the best players to join the team.  Teams compete in both the fall and spring seasons of ISL.

How many teams are there?

The Pumas have typically been fielding teams from U10 through U14.  There are both boys teams and girls teams.  We will have as many teams in these age divisions as we have qualified players and coaches to fill those teams.

What is the time commitment?

The league games are typically played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  Teams typically practice 2-3 times per week.

What is the cost?

Registration costs per season range from $125-$150 per season.  This cost covers the cost of field rental, ISL registration fees, equipment, and referee fees.  Uniforms (Includes 2 jerseys, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 pair of socks) typically run from $70-$100, and can be used for multiple seasons.
